We help our clients build the internal capacity to act on outcome-based financing solutions in an effort to drive positive social impact.

What is a Social Impact Bond?

Outcomes finance is emerging as a way to align the interests of public, non-profit and private sector stakeholders to achieve positive social outcomes in a variety of social policy areas. With a shift away from a pay for activities approach to payment for outcomes, this tool allows for increased flexibility in the delivery of social services.

The most common form of outcomes financing to date is the Social Impact Bond, in which a government contracts to pay for improved social outcomes. This On the back of this contract, investment is raised from private investors to fund the service providers delivering the intervention, which typically focuses on tackling root causes (rather than remedial treatment). If the intervention is successful, the government repays investors and provides a risk-adjusted return.
