Impact Investing: A Framework for Policy Design and Analysis

Impact Investing: A Framework for Policy Design and Analysis, a collaboration between InSight at Pacific Community Ventures and the Initiative for Responsible Investment at Harvard University and funded by The Rockefeller Foundation, explores the role of public policy in impact investing.

The report answers the question “How can policy policymakers, investors, and civil society better develop and analyze impact investing policies?” It presents three tools in order to lay the groundwork for future research: a model for locating the role government in impact investing markets; a set of criteria providing a practical starting point for the design and evaluation of policy; and 16 case studies that provide detailed insight into a range of policies from around the world.
